jfs, any impact on the speed of find-file commands?

This is a question i've been wondering about before upgrading from ext2 to a jfs.

Does anyone have a concrete answer?

Since jfs is faster, probably so. Do you do a lot of file searching? The new reiser4 filesystem has database-like capabilites, IIRC.

Since jfs is faster, it is better than ext2, but I think you get the same benefits by using ext3. Also, since you can always use slocate to search for files, I don't think you will want the search capabitlities to sort out a file system. But I also agree with hoyt that reiserfs is better than most.
