Jesux, Linux for Christians gone mad.

for lack of a humor section, maybe this is the best place for this thread ?
this is a real distro, but i cant help but laugh.

a Linux Distribution for CHristians..
http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTriangle/Node/4081/

ok, now, before i go on, im not insulting christians in general, or the christian religion (so dont flame me)
im just going to insult the lame freaks who seem to have adapted redhat linux to be "christianity safe"

here are some of the changes i liked the most....

1) Optionally disable logins on Sunday, the day of rest
2) chmod(1) accepts hexadecimal modes, such as 0x01B6 So that you dont need to type chmod 666 to make a file read/write enabled to all users
3) qmail replaces sendmail as the standard MTA (sendmail was written by a prominent homosexual)
4) No encryption provided; Christians have nothing to hide (which means no ssh, so security has gone to b0ll0|<s
5) Christial SOftware Public licence ??? http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTri...4081/cspl.html

Quote:
Note: the requested requirement that only Christians could redistribute the code was considered and rejected, in accordance with the "No Discrimination Against Persons or Groups"

haha, no discrimination againsed people of groups.... except for homosexuals.... who can all go the hell.. litterally (sarcasm relating to (3) i do not discriminate, dont flame)

6) rename commands like Abort, Kill, Daemon

should some1 inform these people, that statistically, at leadt one of the major kernel developers MUST be a homosexual, and see if they want to re-write the kenrel ?

maybe im over reacting....
and im not a homosexual myself, but it angers me that sendmal be removed simple because of the sexual preference of the author.

I myself am not homosexual but I have friends who are and I don't even like the comments that were made in this thread as jokes, it is just not suitable on a widely used open forum that is mainly about Linux. I am sure there are many other forums where this is acceptable but not here. In other words, bring up all the religious threads you want but in a constructive manner that doesn't offend others with comments made, jokingly or not.

I only see bad karma coming out of this thread. I know its sarcasm and mainly for jokes but the homosexual jokes are offending to the members of this forum who might be homosexual. This thread is now closed, if you feel it shouldn't be with good reason as I feel its offensive and vulgar to some individuals, I feel its against our rules on that level, you can bring it up with Jeremy the site admin to discuss.

PS. This thread has no technical Linux question either, even if we did allow it, it belongs in General, not Linux - General.
