java vncviewer??

well, vnc is supposed to come with it from what i researched, but i cant figure out how to access it...i thought it'd either be http://computer:1 http://computer:5801 or http://computer:5901...but...none of those work...i'm pretty sure i have version 4.1.1 of vncserver...i connect to vnc (with the viewer) on port 1.

Oh, and its real vnc and im running debian linux.

you'd normally start from 5800 / 5900 not 5800 / 5901 i thought. Either way the vncserver output should be telling you what ports that instance will listen etc... You may also nee to explicitly enable the java port.
