Java Sound works, but not 100% properly. (Driving me crazy!)

I am using Mandriva Free 2007.
I have installed the java plugin, and yes, it seems to be working for the most part. BUT there are times when playing online java games (well that is where I noticed it so far anyway) that the sound if just not correct, some sounds even missing compleately (comparing to running the same thing with a Windows browser). Some sounds sometimes just start, and will not stop till that browser window is closed compleately (if game was run from a tab, just closing that tab dose not help, the whole browser most be closed!).
Example (I use this one a lot) on the pogo bowl game, sometimes the sound of the ball rolling won't stop till the browser is closed, I NEVER hear the sound effect if you get a spare, strike, or terkey, or the "bonus spin", or not pins being hit!
I have tried running various mixxers with it (that seems to make it worst), and under both KDE and Gnome.
