Is there some way to bind keys to minimize everything?

Like in windows (i hate relating back to windows, but i actually used it all the time) how u press the windows button and d it would minimize everything...is there some way to do that in linux? those particular keys would be good too :)
if its possible, i think i might bind some other keys while im at it...like opening XMMS etc

depends on your window manager.

its KDE...so there is something that comes with it already? ill take a look around...but could somebody also reply with a possible solution incase i can't find it very fast, heh :)

Edit: ok i found it, but when i press and hold the windows key and press D, it doesn't recognise the windows key...but if i hold alt, etc, it seems to work...:(

in KDE3 as default you can get that simply pressing ctrl-alt-d if I remember well.
Either way you can set whatever you want going in the kde control center, then kde-look(i have italian version, i really don't know whatsisname in english one), then again in keyboard or commands and bind everything in your very personal way.
