Question Is there a way to get log files emailed?

I would really like to keep better tabs on my log files on my squid server. Specifically the /var/log/messages file and of course the squid log. Is there a way to make it so these log files are emailed to me on my client machine at regular intervals, like say every night or once a week? If this is possible could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks...

Sure, you'd be looking at cron to set up a job that repeats when you want, and mail to send the logs. Poke through the man pages and www.tldp.org for both.
