Is there a palette app with a movable glass to convert text color code into a color?
I have a text with #000000 colors, and I'd like to move a rectangular glass over it and see the color.
It'd be helpful if I could rest the glass, choose another color in the app and have the text be modified accordingly. |
hmm, not sure if this is what you are looking for but bluefish has a color picker utility that lets you type in a hex color, hilight it, right click and hit 'edit color' and it will allow you to use an eyedropper anywhere on the screen to get a color value for that given pixel.

That does it, although with a slightly different interface. Thanks. The interface I described would reduce the amount of clicking. I think colorzilla's eyedropper could be modified to do this. Another possible version could consist of highlighting the color codes in their own colors - this would help quickly get an idea of what colors are present and where. Btw, you don't have to highlight the code.
