You'd need some iso that is made for that phone. You also need to know how someone figured out how to change the OS.
I'd doubt you have a bootable iso image of the os.

so it doesn't work that way. how can I get a a custom ubuntu os to be runned under maemo? I've seen debian and kubuntu running on that phone. I got debian Lxde working on it and its in a img.ext2 file . I thought why cant I have a different distro instead.
