irq 10: nobody cared!
First of all I apologize for possibly posting in the wrong place. Let it be known that I have this problem with both Mandrake 10.1 and SuSE 9.3 Pro.
Any help would be appreciated, I have used both google and the search feature on this website to no avail! Hey guys, I just got SuSE Pro 9.3 and I'm trying to install it onto my system. Whenever I go to install, it stops in screen 1 at Searching for info files, 4th screen ays Disabling IRQ #10, irq 10: nobody cared!, hda: lost interrupt. I did some googling and I couldn't find a solution to the problem that worked. Tried noacpi noirq, safe install, no go. My system specs: 3.0 GHz P4 1gb RAM GeForce 6800 AGP 1 160 GB Seagate SATA drive 2 40 GB ATA/133 drives BIG NOTE HERE: I have had Mandrake 10.1 working just fine before. Hadn't tried SuSE until now but I'm assuming it would have also worked. The ONLY change between now and then is my video card, I switched from a ATI 9700 to a GeForce 6800 (For linux compatibility ROFL) Any suggestions? |
few lost interrupts are "normal".
Try to change the slot of your video card if it is PCI, or another card, or in the bios, try to change setting of int 10. |
It loops lost interrupts for hours on end. My video card is AGP.. Changing the setting of irq 10 in my bios change irq 10: nobody cared to irq 11: nobody cared.
