IRC channels for Linux related chats
 

I'm starting to look for a new distro for my computer and being that my knowledge of Linux is pretty limited, I wanted to go and chat with other people who know about Linux. I know that there's IRC channels for Linux but I haven't been able to compile a list. I was wondering if we should start one of those lists here. The one I know of is:

#ubuntu on irc.freenode.net

Please add to this. I think it'll be particularlly helpful to everyone if we get a list going. Should this also be a sticky? Thanks for contributing!

#archlinux on the same server. I don't know of any general-topic IRC channels but most distrobutions and window managers and some software such as gDesklets have their own channel :)

just do /list on freenode and it will list all the channels available.
