iptables : ipt_time : invalid size 16 != 24

First of all, i am sorry if this is the wrong place to throw this thread in.
I want to patch the iptables in my Debian box to support the time match module in p.o.m.
So i have downloaded
- kernel 2.6.24.2 ( the latest version of kernel at the time of writing ).
- iptables 1.4.0
- p.o.m

I have patched iptables already, and re built the kernel to meet 2.6.24.2
then i make & make install the iptables 1.4.0

I notice that the time module is loading. but it does not work and throw such a message :

iptables : ipt_time : invalid size 16 != 24

I don't exactly know why.
I have tried to compile the kernel for many times but the same message appeared.
