[SOLVED] Internet connection failure in linux.

I am using Linux operating system fedora 6 .Before today everything is going well. But today internet connection gets failed. It can not connect to the server for the internet connection. But in the same computer,installed windows operating system shows the internet connection.Please try to answer my question why the Linux operating system can not connect to the internet?

Did you check you dns? ==> try to surf with the ip of the web site insted of the domain name.

make sur that you can access all the following 1 by 1 using the IP address:
Your computer (check your ip and DNS) --> Modem / router --> 209.85.229.147 (one of the ip of google)

How are you trying to connect to the internet?
Wirelessly?
Dial Up?
Wired LAN connection?

If you are failing to connect wirelessly, try connecting with a wired connection.

Fedora 6 is very outdated version. Current version is 14. Why do you use 6?

Although it should work with Fedora 6 (as it was working before), this is still a very good point.
