Interesting debate on LKML - Do we need a new Patch Penguin?

Rob Landley started a very interesting debate on the Linux Kernel Mailing List. He is asking for someone to take over for Alan Cox and be the new "Patch Penguin" (he suggests Dave Jones). Linus doesn't seem to like the idea, but it is starting to become a heated debate. What do you think?
