Lightbulb Installing Xwindows from shell.. howto?

Hello,
I have only 1 gig of hard drive that needs to have linux up and running. So I did a "Minimum install" for RH9, that was about 47x MB. Now i want to isntall GNOME or KDE (not both, to reduce disk space). Any ideas how do do this? I want to be able to have certain specific xwindows based applications (like ethereal, i know tethereal is present but i need ethereal running to).
Thanks

Use the package manager of your choice to install the RPM's.

(i.e. "yum install XFree86" "yum install kde")

if you don't have a package manager on there, you might think of installing it. You can also mount the install CDRom or download RPM's manually and install with the "rpm" command line tool. For instance:

"rpm -i <package>"

yum handles package dependancies and is a command line tool. I recommend using it, but if you want to "rough it" simply use "rpm -i" and it will list out the dependancies of each package you attempt to install, so you can work your way down.
