Installing Xanim video player

Hello Friends,

I am new at Linux.
I was trying to install the rpm for Xanim to view video CD in LInux. But I had some problems.

I started to install : xanim-2.80.1-12.i386.rpm

but the error message I got was :
Found 0 source and 1 binary packages
Dependency Problem: is needed by xanim-2.80.1-12

Please help me regarding this.

You need to download and install zlib or libz(not sure which one)...

Do you have XFree86? I bet you do, if you so you probably already have it. run:

locate libz | grep so

if it finds libz somewhere symlink it to /usr/lib and run ldconfig.
