Check your /sbin for lilo and liloconfig. If they're there run liloconfig in a root term and set it up.

Thumbs up Installation of XP and Redhat 8.0

Installation instruction for installing windows XP and RedHat Linux 8.0
1. Open the HardDisk Cover of 120GB.
2. Used the disk format utility to form 80GB for Windows and 40GB Linux using any one the hard disk utility.
Preferably Use FAT32 for both the Partition.
3. Insert the bootable WindowsXP and install the windowsXP on first drive.
After installation of WindowsXP successfully insert Linux installable disk.
4. Use manual method fdisk for the formating the disk.
5. create the / partition of 5 GB(~ size required to install Linux, full installtion is 4680 GB). The size of this partition should be preferebly the size of the linux installation size.
6. create a swap partition (~2*RAM Size) preferably more of double time the RAM Size.
7. Create /usr or /usr/local for the rest of the partition size.
8. Start the installation.

After installation the GRUB Loading will show Linux and DOS.
And you are through with the installation.

Happy Linuxing.....

Best of Luck
