Post #4, @nivedita sai : Welcome to LQ.

'nrlsensorsim' :
nrlsensorsim-2.29.tar.gz / um-olsr_for_nrlsensorsim-2.29.patch
I did build the above '24 Apr 2013', post #4 here
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-4175459230/#4
... But not very usable as none of the available files.tcl works.

Better go for the proof version : ns-allinone-2.26 .

How to build nrlsensorsim :
You will have to tell which Linux OS it's about :
1) $ uname -m
2) $ cat /etc/*release*

# 3 .

Cygwin : Easier to get help, if you install a genuine Linux OS
on a spare partition / a spare hard-disk / computer,
or in a Virtual Machine like VirtualBox.

Simulation : The "phenom examples" will create a nam file.
$ ns-nrl phenom14.tcl ; $ nam simme.nam : OK.

'ns-nrl' is the executable ns from the ns-2.26 "nrlsensorsim".
Packages : nrl-sensorsim-ns-2.26-1.sl5.i386.rpm ( 3.5 MB )
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7S...it?usp=sharing
And : nrl-sensorsim-ns-2.26-ubuntu10_i386.deb ( 3.5 MB )
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7S...it?usp=sharing

# 6 .

If you mean Ubuntu 12.04 : Probable a hardware failure.
If it's used for ns2 : Might be a 64bits OS. Ns2 is for a 32bits OS.

The proof choice is CentOS 5.10 - i386 ( Or CentOS 6.4 - i386 ),
depending on your hardware.
These are RHEL / Fedora based. Ns-2.26 compilers are easy to install.

* I have used CentOS 5.10 - i386 / Ubuntu 10.04 - i386 for nrlsensorsim, ns226.

* As you can see from post #4, you do actually not have to build anything.
Installing one of the mentioned 3.5 MB packages will do.
Then you can immediately start simulation: $ 'ns-nrl phenom14.tcl' etc. etc.
