Installing MANDRAKE!!!

Ok, I have 2 hard drives, and I just downloaded the 3 ISO Images of Mandrake... And now I have NO CLUE at all how to get mandrake on my computer, does any one know how? I went to the REDHAT website and it was too confusing, can anyone break it down for me please?

Burn each iso onto a cd. Then, pop the first cd in your computer and the installer autmatically begins.

Yeah, I did that, I put in the First ISO and nothing happens, i go to my computers and click on the file and a box comes up and says "What would you like to open this file with?" and I dont know what to put in?

make sure your bios has your cd drive as the first boot device. reboot with the first cd in the drive.

yep, and i just changed it to boot from the CD drive in the bios and still nothing.....

did you burn these as bootable iso images or just burn the iso files onto disks?

fidelis13 03-23-2003 10:38 PM

good question... whats the difference? How do I burn them as bootable?

sandman 03-23-2003 11:20 PM

what are you using to burn them?
if it is nero in windows close the wizard and go to file- burn image and search for the image, make sure to finalize it too.

edit: not saying you don't know, but just incase...
leave the iso's like they are , don't extract them.
