Installing GUI?

Hey, When I installed VectorLinux 4.0 and I choose install the GUI then in the 9% crash, I think there is a problem with my CD, Hardware or something like that, I cant change the Distro because my HD is just 1.0GB. Can I download the GUI? or what can I do to solve it?

You can download the GUI, you'll need to download XFree86 and all its required packages along with a desktop/window manager, etc.
