installing a distro on a usb drive
I want to install zenlive on a usb flash drive or an external hard drive but I fear that once I do that I won't be able to access the drive using xp. I've tried something like this before with a bsd distro. Worked fine, but I was never able to access the drive on xp even after repartioning and using mkfs.vfat. Oh yeah, and I can't access the disk formatting and partioning tools under mycomputer because the machine running windows isn't mine and I don't have an xp of my own. Anyone know if there is a way to install a distro on a usb drives' boot sector and still be able to access a vfat partition on it (or maybe even install on a preexisting vfat partition without altering anything else)?
