Installed Debian, now can't boot Solaris. Oops...

I installed Solaris on the primary partition of my hard disc. (hd0,0).
And it works nicely.
Then I installed Debian Etch to the secondary partition (hd0,1).
and GRUB was installed to MBR.

I edited /boot/grub/menu/lst so that now it is as follows:
Code:
title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.18-4-686
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-4-686 root=/dev/hda2 ro
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.18-4-686
savedefault

title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.18-4-686 (single-user mode)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-4-686 root=/dev/hda2 ro single
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.18-4-686
savedefault

### END DEBIAN AUTOMAGIC KERNELS LIST
title Solaris 10. i386
root (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
savedefault
Only thing is, GRUB can't read the partition to get to the Solaris GRUB menu.

EDIT:
The error message is as follows:
Code:
filesystem type unknown.
partition type 0x83

Try changing your Solaris entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst to something like this:

title Solaris
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

I found that suggestion after a few seconds google search.

ah, ok thanks.
I'll try that.

(Funny, google seems to give different results, depending on who and where you are...)

Now it just shows 'Loading GRUB Stage 2' very briefly, then clears screen and goes to GRUB command prompt.
