Installed additional Ram

I have install an extra 2GB of DDR2 Ram I have a dual boot system with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.10. Windows shows 4GB of Ram why does it only say 2.5GB of Ram in Ubuntu 11.10.

Thanks

You probably need to install the PAE kernel (a package you can install with Ubuntu's package management software).
