Question Installation problem - "no Red Hat CD found in CD-ROM drive"

When going into install with the Boot Diskette, I get the message:

"No RedHat Linux CD was found in your CD-ROM drives"

I downloaded the 6 files from RedHat website. They are .iso files. When I burned them to the CD I extracted them using WinRAR and used NERO
to burn.
Also tried just burning the .iso file onto the CD, still it gave me same error.

am I missing something ??? what's your advice for a newbie ?

The boot information required to install is missing.
This is because you extracted the file.

Do not extract the .iso files with any program, donot copy the file directly.
what you need to do is "burn" the file with Nero.

1. Open Nero (click 'Cancel' if the wizard window opens)
2. Choose File---> Burn Image.
3. Open the image file.
4. Leave all the settings at default and click on "Burn".

Thats it.

edit: Here is more advanced information on CD & DVD Technology. and the
CD-Writing HOWTO from The Linux Documentation Project
