install winxp after fedora core 3 problem

i have fedora core 3 installed and its running great...but i have world of warcraft and cedega just isint good enough for me (video isint as great) so i want to install winxp on another partition while keeping fedora core 3 so i made my partition and rebooted with the winxp disk in and it says setup is detecting your system configuration... then the screen just goes black and hangs. i know the cd is god becuase it works on my friends machine.......what am i missing?

I had a similar problem a long time ago---Windows XP install CD wouldn't boot. I had to download the six boot floppies from Microsoft, which eventually worked after some tinkering. Google "windows xp boot floppies".

Note that installing Windows will trash your boot partition. To boot Linux after that you'll need to reinstall grub using either your Fedora rescue disk or Knoppix.

Hi!
I have the same problem, but I haven't got a floppy drive on the Fedora box!
When in Fedora, can I do some "fdisk magic" (perhaps alter the master boot record?) so that I at the next boot can boot from the winxp CD?
