u don't have to extract this file. just burn this file as iso format onto the disc. check the manual on your cd-burner on how to do that. it's different for different burning software.

you can do a hard drive install or a network install if you don't have a CD Writer.
what distro are you using? 7.3 and 8.0 releases of RH support network install using ISO images.

so u don't have a CD-writer? Do you have another machine that you can connect to your 2b installed machine?
For a hard drive install, u need to create the installation boot disk first (it's in disc1). Under Windows, u need to get the following from the ftp site:
boot.img
rawritewin.exe # rawrite is enough - rawritewin.exe has a gui.
These files are also part of iso disc1. So if u don't have any apps that can browse thru ISO files, download the two files above.
Start up your machine using this disk. You'll be asked where the source install files are located - choose harddrive. You'll be prompted for the partition where the iso files are located.
You need to loopback mount the iso's first within a virtual console during installation (CTRL+ALT+F2). The command is this:
# can't remember - somebody correct me if this is wrong
mount -t iso9660 -o loop filename_of_disc1.iso /mnt/source
If you want a network install, let me know.
