Angry insmod question

I added a new network card to a system of mine, well actually did a complete reinstall with tyhe new card and hard disk etc.

Anyway, my issue is that RH7 did not detect the new card, so from the readme file for the drivers, I done the following:

1)- copied the *.o file to /lib/modules/net/

2)- insmod *.o

3)- ifconfig eth0 192.168.254.154

Works a treat, but after rebooting, nothing, I have to do steps 2 and 3 again.

How can I get this to work without this, I have tried using netconf but still the same.

thanks

You can add the module in question to load by adding to your modules.conf file in /etc
Then you can add the ifconfig information in your network scripts I believe located in /etc/sysconfig

Also, its netconfig not netconf.... you could give that a try once again.
