information about linux


hello!
i have to find academic article about the advantages of linux and some introduction to linux.

i had searched the net and didnt find.
where can i find it?

No offense, but how did you not find anything when you searched? Type linux advantages into google and about 5,330,000 hits are returned...

I haven't checked whether there are formally presented research papers - but there is certainly useful data there.

"Introduction to Linux" gets 84 million hits.....
This is a bit like trying to do a paper on the great Windows vs Mac debate.

For the OP: A few more specifics would be useful--eg Linux for WHAT?? servers? desktop? embedded apps?
