last time i opened linux my cursor turned into a square of different colors,i rebooted(pressing the reset button on my case) the system and now i get a message of inconsistency at loading.
it tells my to run fsck manually, but franckly i'm not very familiar with such kind of problems under linux(it's suse by the way).
So what should i do?
if you need some more information i'll tell you more, cause i don't know what else to say right now.

thanks in advance

generally, it's not a good idea to shut down a linux box without first running the shutdown command. this has to do with the way the file systems are mounted, and shutting down without unmounting them can damage the file systems. usually, nothing serious will happen, but it's always a good idea to run fsck if you do reset the computer manually. just log in as root and run fsck, and that should clean up the file system.
