In a deep sleep

I am having problems from my machine going to sleep but not being able to wakeup without me having to perform a hard reset. This can be very annoying. I have looked at the BIOS and made sure that its power management utilities were turned off. I have also made sure to shutdown the APM daemon. It does not do this on a regular basis. Sometimes it can go for days without slipping into a coma. But, last night it occured within 15 minutes of me doing a hard reset. I have looked in /var/log/messages to see if anything is being captured but nothing is getting recorded that indicates anything is wrong. Where should I try looking for the problem next?

Sure, but take a look at the APM settings, maybe you'll find something there that's not quite right
