is there a way too get konqueror to display a preview of an image instead of an icon, im using rh7.3.

7.2 up can do it.

It's in the view menu.

Goto the 'view' menu, down to the 'previews of...' menu item and enable images. It will only work, however, when you are in icon mode, if you switch to listed names (text) then it'll only display the filename and no preview.
