Ideas for a Linux Box
 

Hey.. if any of you out there have an idea for me to use my Linux box I'd gladly hear it.. I can't really figure something out myself.. I'm already running a webserver, but that's nothing.. And I can't run a game server because of my internet connection 2048/512 :/
But if you have any ideas ... dont hesitate to reply or mail me..

You have an e-mail server for you and your friends that uses some sort of secure communication, and while you're at it,

Set up a re-mailer....

Make it a media center. Get a TV card, a good sound card, an IR sensor and a TVRemote, and maybe even an extra hard drive so that you can put tons of music and videos on it.

If you got a webserver, try out SSH so you can access your computer through the net. Also you can try out an FTP server, though i couldnt ever get those to work.

Generally these things reflect your personality and energy. If you would just want to decorate the thing, go to kde-look.org to make it, pardon the word, "pretty".

Hey, have you checked out sourceforge.net? They got tons of cool projects on anything and in about any programming language. Most of the things on there you can just rpm to install.
