I need to delete a file!!!

Newbie

Can't seem to delete the XF86Config file so I can rename the .backup version to take it's place.

When at the text mode, how do you delete a file?

REMOVE XF86Config doesn't work.

There's no DEL command.

What Linux needs is DOS. ;)

don't delete it, "mv" to XF86Config.old or something for security

Does it? Why?

Dos you type del and linux you type rm.

Like acid said though - you better move it not delete it until you are sure it works.
