I need an opinion on a distro which will run my video card!

I've been trying for hours now to get my ATI Radeon 9000 working with Fedora Core 2. I've posted and read many threads... but to no avail.

I managed to get the drivers installed just fine... but I cannot for the life of me get 3D acceleration to work.

Can anyone suggest a distro where they had an easier time getting an ATI 9000 to work?

I'm doing OpenGl programming and I really need this to work for me.

I appreciate any suggestions!

Suse 9.2 which is comming out in november supports it and will support the 3d acceleration, wait 2 or so weeks and get that cause its supposed to be a great distro, untill then try the new mandrake.
