Some times it's easier. If you want Super+a to launch Gnucash, you can add that to ~/.fluxbox/keys in half the time it takes to remember where the two sections you need to use are buried in gconf-editor.
the lynx release of ubuntu has given me more problems than i needed, recently.
This nouveau driver they have embedded, and the lack to alter the grub boot parameters, during first boot, made this release useless for me, and many others. (result: blank screen after the post (bios))
therefor, to prepair for a save future, i have dropped ubuntu (was running karmic), because once the karmic release is shutdown (april 2011), and the then latest release have this same issue as lynx does (high chance, looking at the lazy bugfixing on such problems by canonical, as seen with previous boot bugs in former releases), i cannot use it anymore (aka upgrade to this release safely) with nvidia cards.
conclusion: until canonical has fixed this major issue
(many bugreports on it, nothing back from canonical on this, besides:"edit the grub settings, by pressing "e"".. well this is stupid support, since nobody with this problem CAN see a thing, it's pitch black (no signal even after a few seconds), after the bios post is complete.),
i have ditched ubuntu from my comp. and installed a different distro on it.

?? In Gnome, you'd launch "Keyboard Properties, add a GnuCash entry and then press the preferred key combination.
