i got ps2 but i dont understand how to run linux over it

hi
i got ps2 but i dont understand how to run linux over it.
the one i got is a small box type having a cover on the top to put in the cd..... where is the harddrive of it??whers the lancard of it..???
it only have 2 ports for controls
1 for adapter
1 for output
how can i attach cp with it or run linux over it

Sony released a very expensive development kit that ran linux. however it is extreemly expensive !

i have a ps2, and i also happen to have a few magazines...

at retail, the linux development kit was $400. I'm sure what it is now, definitely not in the thousands (check sony.com)

However, i believe it can be done without this kit

In that case you would need the network adapter ($40) and your own harddrive, and a copy of BlackRhino. BlackRhino is the Linux devel kit [read: barebones distro] written exclusively for the ps2, IIRC
