I didn't install full kernel sources?
Hi,
I was trying to configure my linksys WPC11 to work. I downloaded linux-wlan and tried to install it. I ran ./Configure and up to the point where to specify the kernel sources, it says:
Linux source tree /usr/src/linux is incomplete or missing!
The kernel header files are present, but not the full source code.
See the HOWTO for a list of FTP sites for current kernel sources.
TO my knowledge, i've got the full sources already.
Any ideas?
Thnx

If you've got the sources installed, maybe you just need to symlink to them:
ln -sf /usr/src/linux-2.4.18 /usr/src/linux
Assuming of course that your kernel source is located in /usr/src and that it's kernel 2.4.18
Cool

If that's the kernel you are running it is. If you do a uname -r and it matches that kernel, then maybe you have an incomplete download/kernel. If you are running a different kernel (uname -r) then get that source instead.
Cool

Hey, i got the wlan drivers installed now (i downloaded kernel sources from slackware site).
Now my card has a solid green light, but one problem: It doens't connect to the net. I realise that i don't have a wlan device, or am i suppose to have one? Any ideas on this?

Nope
You might just use eth0 as your wlan device, however I really haven't the slightest clue. I have seen several threads regarding that devices though, so maybe if you have a look at a few of them they might reveal some info. Since now you've got the drivers installed it seems that you are looking for a seperate answer altogether now on how to get the working
