Post HP PSC 1317 / 1310 - Scanner

Hi, I'm trying to get my PSC 1317 All-in-one printer, scanner, copier to scan images.
I've done everything in this thread: here
When I type xsane hpoj:mlc:usb:psc_1310_series_ I get the following error:

Failed to open device 'hpoj:mlc:usb:psc_1310_series_':
Invalid Argument.

Any help would be apreciated.

Any help would be appreciated, have upgraded to HPLIP from HP website, and cups has no problem spooling/printing to the printer! Would like to know where to mount (what mount point) and good front end. Thanks
