How vi editor store the text?


Hi,
How many buffers vi editor uses for storing the text?
What each buffer stores?

Your questions are starting to look like homework---please tell us more about what you are doing. If it is homework, then you need to start showing what work you have done, what books you are using, etc.

I would think that the users manual for vi would provide what you are asking---if not, I'm sure Google will find it.

Hi Pixellany,
Currently I am preparing for unix tests.I am following "Richard Stevens" for unix.
This is the question for which I didn't get answer.
Please suggest me any books for improving knowledge on Unix.
