Well, im a newbie, but that I have done. first log like su and do:

mkdir /mnt/vfat/

then you do:

mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/vfat

The bad thing is that I think you have to do the mount everytime you log in because after login out I have had to do the mount in order to acces my DOS partition. I also use wME on the other partition, if you are using something weird like NT i dunno if it still works.

Hope it works though.

mounting dos partition automatically

If you want your dos partition to be automatically mounted every time you boot then create an entry for it in /etc/fstab.

you can name the directory to mount on whatever you
wish.
the dev/hd<a,b,c,d-1,2,3,4 . . .>
is a letter for the drive controller.
primary master is a, slave is b
secondary master is c, slave is d
first partition on said drive is 1, second is 2
so /dev/hda1 is
primary master first partition.

an fstab entry could look like this

/dev/hda1 /hda1 vfat user,noexec,nodev,suid,rw,umask=0 0 0
