How to verify DST patch is installed in Linux


Hi

I would like to know, whether the DST pacth is installed or not.

uname -a

Linux rsuite.ofc.dev.ewr.audible.com 2.6.18-8.el5 #1 SMP Fri Jan 26 14:15:14 EST 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux


As whlie using the command it shows.

zdump -v /etc/localtime | grep 2008
/etc/localtime Sun Mar 9 06:59:59 2008 UTC = Sun Mar 9 01:59:59 2008 EST isdst=0 gmtoff=-18000
/etc/localtime Sun Mar 9 07:00:00 2008 UTC = Sun Mar 9 03:00:00 2008 EDT isdst=1 gmtoff=-14400
/etc/localtime Sun Nov 2 05:59:59 2008 UTC = Sun Nov 2 01:59:59 2008 EDT isdst=1 gmtoff=-14400
/etc/localtime Sun Nov 2 06:00:00 2008 UTC = Sun Nov 2 01:00:00 2008 EST isdst=0 gmtoff=-18000

Please suggest, whether patch has been installed or not.

It has been applied. See the dates that it is changing? March 9th and Nov 2. These are the new days for daylight savings time changes.
