How to uninstall SuSE Linux 9.0 from a dual boot with Windows 2000?

Hi, I am new to Linux and I don't know all that much about computers. I recently had a friend install SuSE Linux 9.0 on my Sony computer and partition the hard drive to create a dual boot system with Windows 2000 Professional. Unfortunately, I don't have that much memory and the modem doesn't really exist (it is only a program created by Windows or something of the sort) so having a dual boot system with this computer is not such a good idea. I would like to uninstall Linux and get rid of the partitioning setup.

I have looked at a webpage from Microsoft on removing the Linux LILO boot manager for Windows 2000 Professional, but it only explains how to remove LILO either before or after removing Linux.

I have also looked at the SuSE webpage, but I have been unable to find any information on uninstallation of the OS.

What is the correct order of removal for Linux and LILO? How can one remove Linux before removing LILO? What happens if one removes the boot manager before removing Linux? If one removes LILO first, can Linux be removed or is that part of the LILO removal?

I would like some advice before I try anything that might make my computer unusable.

Thanks!

I think the thing to do would be to fix the master boot record http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/h...ons_fixmbr.asp http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;229716 and then use the tools in Windows to reformat the partition where you installed Linux. I know how to do it with Windows XP but I'm not familiar with Windows 2000. Why don't you try a Windows forum? http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/win2000

Boot your system with system diskette and start FDISK /MBR - this would fix your master boot record and after that just reformat your Linux partition
