Whats wrong with a bootable floppy? no floppy drive?

http://www.knoppix.org/ - you can do it with fdisk via knoppix.

Someone already told you that you could simply install XP--it will give you the option of deleting the existing partitions. Did you try that?

Knoppix is a "live linux" CD. When you run it, you will be able to issue Linux commands like fdisk. To delete one or more partitions, do this:
fdisk -l (this tells you what partitions you have)
fdisk dev/xxx (replace xxx with the id fo the partition you want to delete)
d (to delete--it will prompt you for the partition number)

m (for other options----look for the command to write the partition tabel and exit)

fdisk /dev/xxx (Again--to verify what you did)

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
