How to switch beetwen Linux and Windows?

Hi all,
Yesterday I finnaly downloaded the 5 CDs of SUSE LINUX and burn them. I have 2 hard disks, one of 120GB and another of 80GB.At the one hard disk I had installed the Microsoft Windows XP Home edition, witch was my primary system. So, I wanted to install Linux, at the other hard disk whitch was in no use, in order to use it as a secondary system because of their better security and stability. So, I inserted the first CD, choose the appropriate options and chose to install Linux at the 80GB hard disk whitch as I said was empty.I proceed the installation and complete it having inserted all 5 cds. But. I done all these work with the tought that when I start my computer, a screen will appear asking me witch system I want to operate.Instead the only system witch started was Linux. And I couldn' t open it because it was requesting a username and password (probably the one I have entered during the installation proccess), and it never got it.But let's suppose I entered something wrong all times, or during install. So, I couldn't open my Windows! I decided to install windows at the same hard drive with Linux (the old one) having formatted it first. But again i couldn't switch to my old Windows. So now I have to install all my programs again.
Finaly, I would be grateful if someont can tell me the method to install Linux having the ability to switch to Windows when I start my computer. But please, I want a working help, because if I won't be able again to enter Windows I would have to format one more time!!!

If you use any Linux LiveCD, you can temporarily mount the partition housing your /boot, and make changes to grub's menu.lst to add a Windows entry. There's a lot of info how to do this around here...just search

Good luck.

You will need to install the bootloader into the MBR (master boot record). That will make your boot loader able to see your windows installation.

If you allready installed SuSe again, and you are experiencing the same problems as described above. Just use your SuSe CD's to make a 'repair'.
