How to Start Gnome Terminal from keyboard
 
Hi:

I need to start Gnome terminal from my keyboard. What is the linux keyboard command to start the terminal. Thanks in advance.

If you are in the Gnome desktop environment with no mouse, then hit alt-f2 and type gnome-terminal.

If this is something you'll want to do frequently you might want to map a keyboard shortcut to the command gnome-terminal. I haven't used gnome for a while, but I think it was somewhere by editing gconf.

That reminds me that i've been meaning to do some keyboard shortcut remapping. :)
