how to see sys.(hardware) specifications?


hey, i'd like to know how could i check what hardware is in my laptop and whatnot.
and also what would be a similar command in *BSD?

You can:

$ lspci

Look in your /proc directory
KDE has an app called Kinfocenter that gives a gui view of the /proc stuff
