If i delete a file accidently, can i restore this file (like the program easy recover under windows) from the hard disk ?

The question to recovering files in linux after a successful deletion is yes , it is possible but its certainly risky by using a package named Midnight Commander usually referred to as MC. I had studied the way to do this but its detailed description is too big to write down here , so i am providing you the link to teh site where i studied them from ,, its a documentary from Dartmouth college Institute for security technological studies .. located at http://www.ists.dartmouth.edu/IRIA/k...very.v0.81.htm ,, this site holds a very good detailed description of using Midnight commander , but yes be sure of what your are doing ... and try at your own risk i hope this works .. do let me know .. best of luck
