How to resize a linux partition?
 
hello friends,

is there some way to resize a linux ext 3 partition (created with rh9), and make a new one vfat??

The only program I know of is called fips when dealing with partitions/filesystems with data on them to split them up safely to create new one's, etc.

Try doing a google search on it, can't remember link off top of my head.

i found it (FLIPS) on freshmeat, but is a DOS program... do you (or anybody) know if i can resize a ext3 partition (to make a new one vat!) with this program??

No, you got wrong one.. its actually called Fips, more of a Debian tool.. Here is a hit I got off a google search.. http://www.linux.com/howtos/PLIP-Install-HOWTO-12.shtml
