Lightbulb how to replicate os on 2nd machine

I have a solid linux installation runing name server, web server,
email, etc with about 100 users. (linux-mandrake v 6.1)
I want to configure a 2nd linux machine as a backup to the first

I want to, with very few tweaks, unplug the first box and plug in the 2nd and be back up and running. is there a method to replicate the configuration of the first on the second and then do some tweaks. i.e. different ethernet card, maybe video, ???

thanks

go to http://freshmeat.net and look for CluClo. It can clone your disk.

Just a thought, install a two removable HD bays, and Mirror the drives, when one HD goes down, pop in the replacement, this will also work if the first machine goes down (pop BOTH drives in the backup machine). OR put in two HD's and at about 4 AM have Linux run a script to backup the entire HD, and use the same system as above. Just a thought though.

Well, you can also check systemImager

http://systemimager.org/

A great tool for your needs :-)
