How to remove/un-make the new compiled kernel?

i have just compiled the new kernel 2.6.6 ...found it a lot of problems on booting up(a lot of FAILEDs) ........

my boot loader(grub) provides 2 options for me to select ...the old and the 2.6.6....

so i wonder how can i remove the new compiled 2.6.6 kernel? thanks a lot

I presume that because you've got GRUB pointing to your old kernel you can still have a usable system.

Also presumably you introduced the errors in configuring the new kernel so why not try and fix them - you will learn a lot.

the kernel should be in /boot and the modules in /lib/modules, under the kernel name. remove both, and the entry from grub.
