How to remove a SetXid bit for a particular file
 
Hi,
I have been reading and reading about setXid bits. THe one question that I have is, how to remove the setXid bit from a particular file.

well... unless i'm being REALLY stupid (please laugh at me if i am) the 'setxid' bit doesn't exist... there's somethign about it on the net, but it's about a programming function.

what do you mean by setXid? if you've not met chmod yet... i'd suggest you find out

SOrry,
by setxid i mean setuserid and setgroupid.
Im not sure if this helps.
